As part of the SI Leadership programme, Soroptimist International is organising two interactive webinars in November. These interactive webinars promise to be exciting and thought-provoking discussions on issues which are at the core of SI’s areas of focus: gender equality and women and water. Two different webinars will take place, each of which will be offered at two different times so that SI members all over the world may find the most convenient time to attend.

Webinar Two – The SI President’s Appeal 2017-2019: Women, Water and Leadership
Presented by SI Assistant Director of Advocacy and Chair of the President’s Appeal Committee Hafdís Karlsdóttir
Access to water determines the way in which individuals and communities plan, envisage and shape their future, and women’s contributions and leadership is increasingly accepted as key in this process. Currently, only 17% of those working in the water sector are women. Their expertise, if harnessed through education and empowerment, can position women as effective leaders. This webinar will show President Mariet’s vision for improving the numbers of women in leadership of the water sector through The President’s Appeal 2017 – 2019 ‘Women, Water and Leadership’.
