November 25th is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Today marks the start of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence, an international campaign to galvanise action to end violence against women and girls around the world. During these 16 days, women, and men, mobilise their efforts to bring awareness and create change. In other words, they “Orange the World”! Symbolically, the campaign ends on Human Rights Day, December 10th.
Soroptimists are very dedicated to this cause and have been participating in and conducting impressive 16 days activities and campaigns for a long time. In this video, SIE President Renata Trottmann Probst has some words to share with Soroptimists and the community on why these efforts are important.
