Ces trajets \u00e9taient souvent risqu\u00e9s, surtout pour les filles. Les Soroptimist se sont donc associ\u00e9es aux Clubs suisses de Burgdorf, Langenthal, Bad Ragaz et Schwyz afin de construire une \u00e9cole. Celle-ci, nomm\u00e9e \u00c9cole fondamentale Suisse\u2011espoir, <\/em>compte d\u00e9sormais trois classes, un b\u00e2timent administratif et trois s\u00e9ries de toilettes\u00a0: une pour le personnel, une pour les filles et une pour les gar\u00e7ons. Elle offre en outre aux femmes du village des cours d\u2019alphab\u00e9tisation en soir\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Afin de satisfaire certains des autres besoins essentiels du village de Foura, un puits a \u00e9t\u00e9 creus\u00e9 pour fournir de l\u2019eau potable \u00e0 tous les habitants. De plus, des panneaux solaires ont \u00e9t\u00e9 install\u00e9s pour garantir au village une source d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 durable et \u00e9cologique.<\/p>\n

L\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 une eau potable de qualit\u00e9 r\u00e9duit les cas de filariose, une maladie parasitaire qui touche les personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es. Les panneaux solaires permettent aux enfants d\u2019\u00e9tudier avec une lumi\u00e8re \u00e9lectrique plut\u00f4t qu\u2019avec des lampes \u00e0 p\u00e9trole.<\/p>\n
