Carolien Demey, SIE Vice-President, presented her work on the Virtual Development Strategy at the 2018 Governors Meeting. In addition to the concept of Virtual Unions, she introduced the governors to the idea of Virtual Membership.
Virtual Membership aims to attract new members, for example young professionals who feel close to the values of Soroptimist. Its goal is also to ensure better retention of current members whose Club might have shut down or who have less time to get involved in Club life.
