Where we are
A Global Network Rooted in Local Communities
Our members are organised into clubs located in cities, towns, or villages—each with approximately 30 members. These local clubs are the heart of our movement, where women come together to take action and drive change in their communities. Soroptimist International of Europe, while primarily representing clubs across Europe, also includes members in the Middle East and the Caribbean—reflecting the historical growth. Today, SIE comprises 1,146 clubs. When a country has at least five clubs and 100 members, it can form a national Union. Currently, SIE includes 21 Unions that coordinate and amplify national-level initiatives.
SIE is one of five Federations that make up Soroptimist International:
- Soroptimist International of the Americas (SIA)
- Soroptimist International of Great Britain & Ireland (SIGBI)
- Soroptimist International of South East Asia Pacific (SISEAP)
- Soroptimist International of Africa (SIAF)
Together, these Federations form a powerful global network of over 65,000 women across 121 countries—united in their mission to advance the status of women and girls worldwide.
