The extension team has developed a new tool: a Manual “Recruitment new Members”.

The Recruitment Manual is designed to help your club in recruiting new members to effectively manage the growth of your club.

Several steps will be required, including an evaluation of your club and community to match your activities to the needs and desires of your members and your region.

You can do this evaluation using the 2 tools created by the Extension Committee 2015-2017 at the end of the manual, or you can download them on the SIE member area. (You can find the manual under Downloads > Extension > Manual Recruitment New Members.)

Assessing the needs of your community will help you better identify unmet needs to determine which projects or actions to take. Discovering new projects can help you find new potential members and explain why you need them.

It is important to keep in touch with each of the scholarship recipients. Once they have completed their studies they may be able to join the club or union in the country where they are.

In this manual you can find Tips & tricks and useful procedures to facilitate the recruitment and retention of members such as:

  • How to prepare and manage the growth of your club,
  • Create an action plan and implement it; When and where to recruit, how to approach potential candidates;
  • Welcome new members;
  • General advice for recruiting and retention;
  • Easy & simple ideas to increase your membership;
  • How to attract younger members;
  • How to “sell” your club to potential members and to your community and region.

This manual also contains standard documents to guide you through the process of:

  • Recruitment objectives
  • Action plan of the club;
  • Action plan for recruitment;
  • Questionnaire for new members, the best way to find out their needs and their expectations!
  • How to interview a candidate

We invite you to go as soon as possible to the Members Area of our SIE Website to download this Manual and we hope it will be very useful and if you have some other, good ideas, please feel free to contact us!!
